Whew, this heat wave is doing too much! 🥵

Although, I will say, I do love seeing the bioluminescent beetles (aka fireflies, lightning bugs) at night. 🌉

I have been sitting on this for about 5 years and I’m beyond excited to share it!

When the Lord gave me this outline years ago, it felt like I was looking at the practicality of gospel. I could see the church of Acts so clearly woven throughout each step : Intimate fellowship, reconciled relationships, and cherished bodies.

I truly believe this is what closely knitted fellowship looks like - healing the sick, raising the dead, and mending broken hearts.

I have also experienced a taste of it and it truly is heaven on earth. I long for the day that communities create home groups, catch this vision, and run with it.

Me and my husband have talked about creating a podcast to discuss all of this and so much more. We have the equipment, but please pray for us because the enemy has really attacked us in that regard. 🙏

Have you ever heard of the beneficial properties of viruses within the body?

No? Probably because viruses, as well as other pathogens, are often looked at as agents of disease.

Viruses can also act as a clean up crew, ensuring that bacteria remains in check and helps to prevent infection.

Many holistic and functional modalities focus on complete eradication, often leading to further gut dysbiosis and nervous system dysregulation.

Yet, a more stable and balanced approach is recognizing the purpose of each pathogen and how our lifestyle is creating an environment for them to thrive in.

Since our lifestyles are so unique, what might work for one person may not work for another.

This is also why there are so many different opinions on what the best diet is and why extreme diets might work at first, but not in the long run.

Our goal is reaching homeostasis - regulating the internal environment by finding equilibrium. Ultimately, we want to get back to optimal digestion and bodily functions through understanding their original design.

Just as roots, plant matter, insects, and microbial life is necessary for healthy soil, so is a balanced microbial environment necessary for the gut and immune system to thrive.

When the microbial ecosystem becomes unbalanced causing various issues such as infections, malabsorption of nutrients, and autoimmune diseases, this is called gut dysbiosis.

In order to find the balance and support that our body needs, we must become detectives :

🕵️ What are our symptoms? Lifestyle? Environment? Stress-load? Nutrient intake? Beliefs? Elimination?
What are we sensitive to? What clues is the body leaving us through our eyes, skin, hair, nails?

Did you know that before I could even address hear

Did you know that before I could even address heartwork, I had to address my physical health?

When the Lord opened my eyes to unresolved trauma, I had zero motivation or energy to put in any effort. I tucked the suggestion in my back pocket for another day.

At the time, I was postpartum with my fifth baby. My hormones were wild, I was severely malnourished (and didn’t know it), and beyond stressed.

I was so physically drained that just the thought of answering a text from a friend felt heavy. Even the smallest inconvenience would send me into a spiral.

So, how did I go from chronic fatigue to being determined to face hard memories? Little by little, the Lord showed me how my body functioned, how to efficiently nourish my body, reduce inflammation, and target gut dysbiosis.

I am working on several educational posts to share that wealth of knowledge. I’m super excited about this series because I absolutely love digging into nerdy science 🤓 - it’s truly a passion of mine!

Plus, I know I’m not the only one who thought that debilitating fatigue, brain fog, and trouble recalling was my new norm as a mom. I can’t wait to share more!
